Venue: Computer Lab Room, Campus Library Level 3

As part of a series of workshops on "Large Scale Data Analysis and Visualization", the Visualization Core Laboratory is pleased to announce a half-day introductory workshop on Scientific Visualization and Data Analysis with ParaView. Visualization experts from the laboratory will introduce ParaView - an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application. ParaView users can quickly build visualizations to analyze their data using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The data exploration can be done interactively in 3D or programmatically using ParaView's Python API. Attendees will participate in a hands-on session working with ParaView to create 3D visualizations of scientific datasets.

ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application. It was developed to analyze extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources. It can be run on supercomputers to analyze large datasets, as well as on laptops for smaller data.
