Workshop: Distributed Scientific Visualization and Analysis with Paraview (Part 2)

3/10/2016 8:30 AM - 3/10/2016 12:00 AM

Venue: Computer Lab Room, Campus Library Level 3

As part of our continuing series of workshops on "Large Scale Data Analysis and Visualization", the KAUST Visualization Laboratory , in collaboration with KAUST Supercomputing Laboratory and IT Research Computing, is pleased to announce a half-day workshop on Distributed Visualization and Data Analysis with Paraview on Thursday, March 10th. Experts from KVL, KSL and IT Research Computing will introduce the HPC-addon for Paraview. The addon allows Paraview users to launch jobs on KAUST HPC clusters to load, analyze and visualize very large (multi-terabyte) datasets. The workshop session will include a series of tutorials on how to connect to Shaheen and Noor/SMC clusters, followed by a demonstration of Paraview’s capabilities in analyzing large datasets.

Paraview was developed to analyze extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources. It can be run on supercomputers to analyze datasets of terascale as well as on laptops for smaller data.
