Scientific Animation Video Production Workshop

We would like to offer a short workshop especially developed for researchers not only to improve
workflow between KAUST centers and the Visualization Laboratory, but also to improve the creation,
production and delivery of high quality scientific digital media so we may provide better support for
your paper submissions, presentations, and conference booth materials.

Please bring your laptop with the software you normally use for animation video rendering & export.
Refreshments will be served.

  • Presentation: Best Practices for Video Rendering and Export (15 mins)
  • General Q&A Session (15 mins)
  • Discussion & Feedback: Your Center’s Template Preferences and Branding (30 mins)
  • One-On-One Trouble Shooting:** (1-2 hours, depending on inquiry)
  1.  To share best practices for video rendering and export handling** so that it becomes simpler and less time consuming for you to generate the raw materials in consistent usable formats, resolutions, and frame rates using your preferred software tools.
  2. To streamline and SPEED UP our KVL turnaround time for delivery of video media back to you within hours.
  3. To develop a pre-defined branded template for your center approved by your group that is applied to all your future videos.
  4. To facilitate the integration of your center’s video needs into our systems for efficient and professional results including titles, voice-over descriptions and other audio.

** Please tell us in advance what animation rendering or screen capture software you normally use to create your scientific and technical animation videos so we can prepare a workshop that is directly relevant to the software that prefer to use.
